ABOUT

DAN LEVINSOHN loves writing, reading, dogs, and rock and roll. He’s short.

After a decade on the “corporate” side of the entertainment industry, Dan relocated from New York to Los Angeles in 2023 to become a professional screenwriter.

As of 2024, he’s working on projects including a miniseries about the creation and marketing of the Glock pistol (KILLING MACHINE); a sitcom featuring Kanye West and an AI programmer who 3D-prints Taylor Swift’s next boyfriend (TAY-TAY’S BAE-BAY); and an adaptation of Macbeth.

Dan’s professional background includes working in newsrooms for major media organizations such as ABC News “Nightline” and MSNBC (in New York) and the BBC (in London); covering three Olympic Games as a digital editorial producer for NBCOlympics.com (Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022); and evaluating over 100 screenplays for the 2023 Austin Film Festival as a first- and second-round reader.

Dan is a two-time Sports Emmy winner. He has issues with anxiety.
